HOW IT WORKS

How Luke works

Luke opens with a 2.75 mm pin that comes included. In the base there is a small hole that looks like a standard assembly screw — identical to those on many real speakers. Inserting the pin triggers an internal spring that ejects the drawer 10–15 mm to the side; from there it slides out on internal rails. An outer sliding cover locks the drawer when closed. Without the pin, and without knowing the hole exists, there are no levers, no slots, no obvious way in. That is the whole point of a disguised hiding place: the secret is not brute-force resistance — it is invisibility. The pin comes with a 3D-printed handle for easy grip.
Yes — that is the essence of the design. Luke is built from the aesthetic components of a real portable Bluetooth speaker: the passive radiators, trims, acoustic fabric, buttons and ports are parts of the original device. Pick it up and the buttons respond to touch, the ports are where they should be, and the weight feels like a portable speaker. The casing is made of PETG with a matte, tactile texture very close to premium speakers, and the copper-tone details are 3D-printed metallic-look finishes. On any shelf, desk or nightstand it goes completely unnoticed. A conventional safe attracts attention by nature; Luke works exactly the other way around — it is so normal that nobody questions it.
The interior measures 125 × 48 mm. In practice: a hardware wallet such as a Ledger Nano X (72 mm) or Trezor Safe 3 (59 mm) with room to spare; folded banknotes in any currency; SD cards with digital backups; credit or ID cards; small jewelry — rings, earrings, thin chains; a spare key; folded documents. For hardware wallets there is an optional custom insert: a 3D-printed TPU piece with the exact negative of your wallet model, so it sits locked in place with no movement or noise. Inserts are available for Ledger Nano X, Nano S Plus, Trezor Safe 3, Model T and Safe 5.
They are decorative, not functional. They are the same physical components a real portable speaker carries — they respond to touch exactly as they would on the original device — but Luke contains no electronics, battery or circuitry. It plays no sound and has no Bluetooth. That is a feature, not a limitation: nothing to fail, no battery to die, no sensitive components to age. Luke is a design object with a hidden compartment, not a speaker, and this is stated clearly on the packaging and in every VEKSU communication. If someone picks it up and presses a button, it clicks — and nothing else happens. Exactly what you want.
Nothing that raises suspicion. The weight (about 550 g) is consistent with a quality desktop speaker. The contents sit in the locked drawer behind the sliding cover, and with the TPU insert a hardware wallet is immobilised and makes no noise. Anyone looking for a lid, a latch or an obvious mechanism finds none: the only way in is knowing the hole in the base exists and having the pin. Without that knowledge, Luke is simply one more speaker among the hundreds of millions in the world. That is the difference between camouflage security and resistance security: a safe tells everyone there is something to protect. Luke tells no one anything.
SECURITY & PRIVACY

Security and privacy

Luke is not a safe in the technical sense: it is not certified against physical attack, does not resist drills or torches, and has no combination lock. What it offers is a different kind of security — in everyday life, often a more effective one: camouflage. The concept is called a diversion safe, and the premise is simple: the safest object is not the one that best resists an attack, but the one that is never attacked because nobody identifies it as a target. The average home burglary lasts 8–12 minutes and follows predictable patterns — safes, drawers and closets get checked; speakers on shelves get dismissed at a glance. For most real-world scenarios, invisibility protects more than steel.
A diversion safe is an everyday object with a hidden compartment. Its advantages over a safe are practical: it does not declare its purpose (a safe tells every visitor there is something valuable inside; Luke says nothing); it needs no installation — no bolts, no drilling, no landlord permission, and you can move it between rooms or take it travelling; and it does not reveal when you use it — you can handle Luke in front of anyone and it just looks like you picked up a speaker. Its one weakness mirrors its strength: if someone knows exactly which object to look for, they can find it. That is why VEKSU builds premium design objects that pass unnoticed even by people who know the category.
Yes — completely legal to buy, own and use in Spain, the EU and most jurisdictions. Objects with hidden compartments are not regulated by any specific European norm, with no restrictions on purchase or possession for adults. VEKSU describes its products honestly everywhere: Luke is a design object with a hidden compartment, stated on the packaging, the website and all commercial communication. What you keep inside is your personal responsibility — exactly like the contents of a locked drawer. Luke is designed for hardware wallets, jewelry, cash and important documents: everyday, legitimate privacy.
Wherever a portable speaker makes sense: a bookshelf, a desk, a nightstand, the living-room sideboard. The key is not hiding it — it is integrating it. A diversion safe works best in plain sight, somewhere nobody examines it because nobody perceives it as special. Paradoxically, tucking it inside a drawer attracts more attention than leaving it on a shelf surrounded by books, plants and frames. The living-room shelf is probably the best spot; the nightstand is second — especially when travelling, where Luke on a hotel or Airbnb side table passes completely unnoticed.
HARDWARE WALLETS & CRYPTO

Hardware wallets and crypto

It is one of the most underestimated problems in crypto: most holders keep their Ledger or Trezor in a desk drawer or next to the computer — places anyone checks first. The usual alternatives all have obvious flaws: a wall safe is expensive, conspicuous and needs installation; a bank deposit box has no 24/7 access; a locked drawer is easily forced. Luke offers a different approach: the wallet lives inside an object that sits on any shelf without attracting attention. With the custom insert it is also physically protected — no knocks, no movement. For anyone practising self-custody, Luke solves physical security without sacrificing access: your wallet stays yours, at home, reachable in seconds, and invisible to everyone else.
Yes. The standard compartment (125 × 48 mm) fits every best-selling hardware wallet without any accessory. For a precise fit, VEKSU makes custom TPU inserts for: Ledger Nano X (72 × 18.6 mm), Ledger Nano S Plus (62.4 × 17.4 mm), Trezor Safe 3 (59 × 32 mm), Trezor Model T (64 × 39 mm) and Trezor Safe 5 (65.9 × 40 mm). The Coldcard Mk4 fits the standard compartment without an insert. Larger devices such as the Ledger Stax or Flex exceed the compartment dimensions — for those, Luke is the place for your seed phrase instead. For unlisted models, write to veksu.store@gmail.com and we will look into a custom insert.
The insert is an interior piece made of TPU (flexible thermoplastic) printed with the exact negative shape of your specific wallet model. It drops into Luke's drawer and locks the wallet in place. Three reasons it matters: protection — without it the wallet can shift if Luke is moved or knocked; silence — a loose wallet rattles, and with the insert there is no sound to give anything away; and experience — open the drawer and the wallet is exactly where it should be, with an extraction slot to lift it out with one finger. If you own a hardware wallet, the insert is not a luxury: it is the right way to use Luke for this purpose. Available as an option at checkout.
Yes — it is one of the most common uses. A seed phrase (the 12 or 24 words giving full access to your funds) is one of the most serious personal-security problems in crypto. The usual options fail in obvious ways: paper in a drawer is easy to find; a digital file is hackable; a visible safe announces itself. Luke offers a practical alternative: the seed phrase — on paper or engraved on a steel plate — fits perfectly in the compartment, inside an object nobody thinks to search. Remember that seed-phrase security should be layered: Luke is excellent protection against casual physical access, but for maximum resilience experts recommend keeping additional copies in separate physical locations.
MATERIALS & CRAFT

Materials and manufacturing

The main casing is PETG, a technical thermoplastic known for impact resistance and dimensional stability — the same family of materials used in industrial parts and high-performance drone components, not the brittle gloss of cheap consumer plastic. The copper-tone details are 3D-printed finishes with a metallic look. The speaker components (passive radiators, acoustic fabric, buttons) are the original parts of a real device, mainly ABS and acoustic textiles. Luke is built to spend years on a shelf or desk in normal domestic use. One care note: avoid sustained temperatures above 50 °C — do not leave it in a parked car in summer or in direct intense sunlight.
Because each unit is designed, printed, assembled and tested individually by VEKSU's founder, using high-precision 3D printers and workshop tools. Making in small batches with direct control has concrete advantages for the buyer: absolute quality control — no production line, no unit leaves the workshop unchecked; real customisation — custom inserts and tolerance adjustments are possible precisely because production is manual and flexible; and verifiable origin — Luke is manufactured in Spain under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), with each unit labelled with maker, contact and batch number. “Made in Madrid” is not a slogan; it is why Luke is what it is.
ORDERS, SHIPPING & GIFTS

Buying, shipping and gifts

Luke is made to order: production of your unit starts when your order comes in, so every Luke leaves the workshop freshly built, with the mechanism adjusted and tested. Making and shipping takes 5–8 working days for Spain, with free tracked shipping. From the web checkout we also ship across Europe (15 € continental EU — Germany, France, Italy and the rest; 20 € UK and Switzerland). We also ship to the United States and Canada from this site (35 € tracked, 10–18 working days); outside the EU, the carrier may collect import duties on delivery. If your order includes a custom insert, it is printed in the same production run with no extra delay. You will receive a confirmation email when your order ships.
Yes. VEKSU honours the EU 14-day right of withdrawal: from the day you receive Luke, you have 14 days to request a return with no need to give a reason. Write to veksu.store@gmail.com with your order number and you will receive return instructions. Once the product arrives back in good condition, the full amount is refunded. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, unless the reason is a manufacturing defect or an error in your order — in that case VEKSU covers it. See the returns policy page for details.
Luke is probably the most memorable gift in its price range — not because it is the most expensive, but because it solves the hardest gift problem: what to give someone who already has everything. Luke creates a moment: the recipient sees an elegant design object, feels the weight and quality, then discovers the secret compartment — and that discovery is the gift. It works especially well for men 30–55 into tech, gadgets or watches; crypto holders who own a Ledger or Trezor but have nowhere good to keep it; frequent travellers; and anyone who values privacy. It arrives in a premium box with no visible instructions: the recipient discovers the secret alone, exactly as it should be.
Anything flat that fits 125 × 48 mm. The most common uses: emergency cash — several folded notes of any currency; small jewelry — rings, earrings, chains, and with the watch insert a collector's watch (38–44 mm case) sits anchored and protected; important documents — contracts, access details, recovery instructions, account numbers; offline digital storage — an SD card or USB stick with encrypted backups; and any personal item you want kept private in a shared flat, a hotel or the office. Luke has no content restrictions beyond physical size. It is the secret drawer nobody knows you have — in the only place nobody looks: in plain sight.
The classic diversion-safe market is dominated by low-cost products: fake soda cans, plastic hollow books, cream jars with screw bottoms. They work as a concept but fail in practice: they look cheap because they are, and in a well-kept home they stand out precisely because they clash. Luke starts from the opposite premise: if the object will live in plain sight permanently, it has to be an object you want on display. The design is inspired by reference brands like Teenage Engineering and Tom Dixon. Concrete differences: handmade construction in Madrid with technical materials; custom inserts for specific hardware wallets — unique in the category; a silent, precise opening mechanism; and EU-compliant labelling with verifiable origin. Luke does not compete with cheap diversion safes. It competes with the design objects already on your shelf.
